7th Annual Blitz Build - Liberty City

April 25 - 30 & May 5 - 7, 2005 - Nine homes. Nine days.

Families you are helping at the Blitz Build:

Aurelie Aristide - "It will be my dream come true to have a home of our own for me and my children – so we won’t have to move because the landlord wants to raise the rent or sell the home. To tell you the truth, when we move into our own Habitat home it will be the happiest moment of my life."

Nerissa P. Curry - "I would like to sincerely thank the wonderful folks at Habitat for Humanity, the kind volunteers and everyone who has had something to do with this program."

Senlouise Elaine Edwards - "Now, I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for allowing me to prove how much I am willing to give to own my own home. Also, I want to thank each and every volunteer because without you it wouldn’t be possible."

The Elliot/Albury Family - "We have a three and a five year old. In our home, the four of us sleep in one bedroom....I asked the Lord for a better place and began to thank him for it in advance. He saw our needs and took care of us. Thank God for Habitat for Humanity."

Tammy Howard - ...I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I have six children: four girls and two boys...I am also a grandmother...I thank God for my family, I am blessed and I thank you Habitat for blessing me with my new home.

Tirzha Johnson - "I am a 36 year-old single mother of four, and I also have a 2 month-old granddaughter. I am a seasonal worker at ABC Distributing LLC. I plan on getting my security “D” license so that I can get a permanent job."

Sharon Navarro - "We have constantly moved from place to place due to costly/rising rents. As a single mother, I never thought I would qualify to purchase my own home, but now through this great organization we have the chance for this dream to come true...Thanks to Habitat."

Debra Page - "The children and I are very happy for being a part of Habitat for Humanity. Words can not explain how Habitat for Humanity has changed our lives. It has helped us move forward in a lot of different ways."

Natasha Ross - "I have my own definition of what home is and how it is spelled:

H- Helping hands from people who care.
A- Appreciation from my family to all.
B- Bravo to all the volunteers, you’re doing an awesome job.
I- Inspiring others to help God’s people.
T- Together working toward the same goal.
A- Accommodating your free time to help others.
T- Thank you to all the volunteers for your hard work and donations."

Amanda Sands - "I want to be able to give my children a home of their own. Where they could feel safe and comfortable, knowing this home belongs to us."

Lasonya Thompson - "I am a divorced, single parent taking care of four boys by myself without any child support whatsoever. To know that I am getting a Habitat house is not only a dream come true for me, it’s also a dream come true for my boys, too."
