On any given Thursday, you can find Christy Jones volunteering at the Miami Habitat office.

A dedicated volunteer since 1995, Jones has donated countless hours, which makes her a true Habitat Hero in our book!

Whether she is assisting with clerical work, passing out lunches to the volunteers at Blitz, or lending a hand on the construction sites at Faith Day builds, Christy never fails to have a smile on her face or an encouraging word for those around her.

“I have a passion for helping others,” she states. “We are not just building homes, we are building communities.”

Her favorite construction tasks include painting and landscaping. “I don’t mind getting dirty if it’s for Habitat,” remarked Christy. “Every stroke of paint, every piece of sod I lay, I am making a difference in people’s lives.” Jones says she feels blessed to be a part of the Habitat family. Miami Habitat feels blessed to have her as a part of our family.
