Tennis champions build in Little Haiti
Nadia Petrova and Ivan Ljubicic took time out from the competition at the Sony Ericsson Open to help build a house in Little Haiti. Working alongside the Collegiate Challenge group from Taylor University in Indiana, Nadia and Ivan painted the home of Meprina Lohier.

Collegiate Challenge students build seven new homes
In March, student groups from colleges and universities all around the country opted to put their Spring Break week to good use. Over 500 students traveled to Miami to
build homes for the city's low-income families. Because of these students, seven new homes were completed in the area of Little Haiti. Habitat thanks the many wonderful students who gave so much to help the poor in Miami-Dade! Here, the students from the University of Minnesota, University of Tennessee, and University of Wisconsin enjoy dinner at the home of Tim Plummer, member of the Habitat Board of Directors.

Blitz Build 2008
January 14-26, 2008
With the help of 2,000 volunteers, ten houses were built inside of two weeks in the Scott-Carver community of Liberty City. The Blitz Build also capped off our 18-month, 52-house build project in that neighborhood.
