| HYP Miami offers a number of opportunities to get connected, get committed and make a difference in the community. One of the best ways to get involved is to join a HYP committee, where people wear several hats in an entrepreneurial, flexible organizational model. Committee members are asked to attend monthly events and to meet once a month to discuss upcoming events. They are also expected to provide opportunities for future activities, assist with member recruitment, and make significant improvements to HYP. | |
| The following committees are actively seeking young professional leaders to serve:
Camaraderie Bring current and prospective HYP members together through local sporting activities to encourage group solidarity and spread awareness about Miami Habitat and HYP. Events Plan social activities through partnerships with local venues to raise funds and awareness for HYP and Miami Habitat. Family Services/Education Assist applicants for Habitat home ownership with the pre-qualification process. This committee also provides personal assistance and mentorship to Miami Habitat families with the support and guidance of Miami Habitat Family Services Staff. Fundraising/Sponsorship Secure sponsors and fundraising opportunities for HYP in support of Miami Habitat. Marketing Manage all HYP marketing, publicity and public relations for events and HYP in general, including website and social media, with support of Miami Habitat Communications Staff. Membership Recruitment and retention of HYP membership. This committee also maintains membership rosters and identifies potential membership candidates. Volunteer Plan HYP volunteer activities, including construction and community outreach in support of Miami Habitat. |
