Ilya Williams

My first name is an acronym for I’ll Love You Always.

I am proud to be working for something that will be mine, something that nobody can take away. I have a nine year-old daughter, Shanae, and a five year old son, Shane. Before becoming a homeowner, my children slept on bunk beds in the living room of our crowded, one-bedroom apartment. I know they have been looking forward to having more space so they can have their friends over.

I am an outreach caseworker with New Horizons Mental Health Facility. I enjoy giving presentations on the clinic to inform clients of the services offered at New Horizons.

As my dream of owning a home comes true, my advice to others who are struggling is to never give up. Always remember that there are people out there who won’t give up on you.
