Odette Louis

I came to Miami from Haiti in 1980 looking for a better life. I work at Harvest Valley. We like to go to the beach; we also like shopping and working. We attend Notre-Dame Catholic Church. One day I received a letter in the mail, I noticed it was from Habitat for Humanity. My oldest son, Wilson, gave me the good news about us being selected. I jumped up and down around the house with joy! Wilson, 17, loves to go to the library. David, who is 15, plays basketball for Edison Middle School. Sandro is the little brother (just 8 years old); he loves school and just recently was awarded with a certificate for being the Student of the Month. He was so happy about that. I am so happy and filled with joy, knowing that my dream finally came true. Being blessed everyday by the Lord makes my family and I very excited, and it is a great pleasure for me to work with Habitat for Humanity.
