I am from Miami and Aurel is from Ft. Meyers. I am a supervisor for a printing company; Aurel is a full-time student and a full-time mom. I like to play video games and Aurel enjoys shopping. We are members of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Liberty City. The most exciting thing that could have happened to us was getting a house. God has really blessed us. Since we’ve been baptized, God has blessed us with a lot of things. Without God we could not have made it. We would also like to thank everyone who is contributing to the building of our wonderful home. Once again, we give much thanks to God above. Also we give thanks to the members of the Habitat program. Our dream was always to have a nice home for our family to live in. We are looking forward to building our home, taking pictures and enjoying the construction of our home. We think it’s a privilege to actually say you helped build your own home. We know most people don’t get a chance like this. There’s no limit to how many times you can say thank you. Thank you, and we love you for your help. We also look forward to helping out others build their homes the next time Habitat has another building project. Past featured homeowners: Ilyia Williams - "Always remember that there are people out there who won’t give up on you." Karen Holmes - first Miami Habitat homeowner to pay off her mortgage Charline Cannady - "I am so excited that I am becoming a homeowner." Luis Giron and Noemi Caballero - "There are many good things to speak of in this world and one of these things is Habitat for Humanity." Odette Louis - "I am so happy and thrilled with joy, knowing that my dream finally came true." Marquitta Forsett - "We did all the work in our home. It's a family affair, and a joyful one." Cora Mae Brown - “The Lord has blessed me every day since we moved in. Habitat is a ministry of the Lord.” |
