We are from Honduras; Luis came to Miami in 1983, and Noemi arrived in 1991. We came here to look for the “American Dream”. Luis is a painter and Noemi works in a factory. We like to go to the beach, to movies, and to the playground; we also like to have cookouts. We are members of San Juan Bosco Catholic Church. Once, we went to Chicago for my niece’s quinceañera (fifteenth birthday party); we were emotional to have finally arrived and to see our family. The same day that we arrived, a huge snow fell and we played in the snow and celebrated the quinceañera of our dear niece. There are many good things to speak of in this world and one of these things is Habitat for Humanity. You are a divine creation of the Lord to help so many people in the world. With your goal of helping people like us buy a home, you give happiness to many families and I am dedicated to knowing more of you. From our hearts we say: continue forward helping more people. We pray that God our Lord will give each and every one of you and your families the strength, health and courage to help more fellow neighbors. In the name of our family and before God, we give thanks for helping us obtain the “American Dream”… our home! God bless America and God bless Habitat for Humanity. Past featured homeowners: Ilyia Williams - "Always remember that there are people out there who won’t give up on you."
