Dozens of women help build Habitat homes

LIBERTY CITY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A group of South Florida women joined forces to accomplish an amazing feat.

More than 80 women took part in Habitat for Humanity's National Women Build Week, Saturday. The women helped build several Habitat homes in Liberty City.

The National Women Build Week fell in line with Habitat Miami's "Liberty City Shine" campaign, which provided dozens of homes to low-income families in the area. "This one-day event really seeks awareness in the community, that women can be empowered," said Dominique Brandt of Habitat For Humanity Of Miami. "Women can make a difference."
