WHO: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami and Habitat for Humanity International’s
Cars for Homes Program.
Ongoing series of Car Donations that help families in Greater Miami achieve
the goal of homeownership.
Kick Off in November, Ongoing thereafter.
Miami-Dade Metropolitan Area.

Residents of Miami-Dade County can now donate their used cars, boats, motorcycles or other vehicle to help Habitat for Humanity build a home in partnership with a low-income family.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami and the Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program have challenged themselves to secure 100 car donations each year to build more homes in Miami-Dade County.
“Cars for Homes is one of the many avenues people can take toward helping Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami’s mission,” said Mario Artecona, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami CEO. “A vehicle contribution goes a long way in helping our goals.”

Cars for Homes is Habitat for Humanity’s national vehicle donation program that provides donors an easy way to donate cars, trucks, boats, RVs and other vehicles to help build homes in partnership with local families in need of affordable shelter. Vehicles donated from zip codes in Miami-Dade County will automatically count toward the campaign. If your residence is outside this area, you can designate Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami affiliate to receive the cash value of your vehicle if you donate by phone.

Donors may call 877-277-HFHI (4344) or visit to arrange for a pick-up.

Cars for Homes is pleased to launch original artwork created by Stone Soup comic strip artist, Jan Elliot, as part of the National Build Week and outreach to local residents of Miami, Florida. The graphic features Stone Soup characters donating their car to Habitat, the proceeds of which help Habitat volunteers build more homes with families in need of decent housing.
