Coloplast Makes a Lasting Impact On the South Florida Community

Over 100 Volunteers Help Build Homes and Assist at Miami Habitat Restore
With Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami

October 20, 2012
Miami, Florida

Coloplast, a manufacturer and distributor of Medical products with representatives in 55 countries, is a strong believer in a hands-on approach to community engagement. This was evident today as more than 100 Minnesota based Coloplast employees, in South Florida attending a business conference, found time in their schedules to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. Their volunteer efforts with the affiliate ranged in tasks from construction to assisting the Habitat ReStore. Coloplast employees will leave their mark in several homes being built for partner families in the Liberty City community.

“This is such a great thing to do for the community… it is very rewarding work!” said Andrea, a Coloplast employee. “To be able to see how it look when we first drove up and now the beauty that is coming out of the property is really amazing and encouraging.”

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami is just part of Coloplast’s commitment to our worldwide community. From raising funds to benefit spinal cord injury charities in the United Kingdom to adopting and rejuvenating an elementary school in Hungary, Coloplast has made volunteering and civic engagement a large part of their corporate culture.

“We are delighted to have Coloplast helping out today,” stated Miami Habitat CEO, Mario Artecona. “They have a proven track record of community engagement at home and the fact that while away at a conference they are finding time to help us speaks volumes as to their community conscience. They are welcome to be with us anytime.”
