Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami Recognized for Volunteerism
Switchboard Miami Annual Awards Showcase
Excellence in Non-Profit Organizations

November 12, 2012
Miami, Florida

On Friday, November 9th Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami was recognized by Switchboard Miami for Non-Profit excellence in the category of Volunteerism.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami builds homes in partnership with low-income families and with the help of volunteers. Last year alone, more than 11,000 volunteers assisted Habitat, be it in the construction of homes, assisting in the Restore or though engagement with one of many Habitat programs.

“Habitat is all about partnerships, and the help of our volunteers is an integral part of our mission. We could not do our work without them and we are eternally grateful for people who give so generously of their time” said Mario Artecona, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami.

Each year, Switchboard Miami hosts the luncheon and award ceremony that recognizes excellence in Non-Profit Organizations in various categories.
