A Brush With Kindness 

A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) is an exterior home preservation program that provides painting, and landscaping, to eligible homeowners.

Are you eligible? 

  • Your home must need painting/landscaping (no major repairs).
  • You can provide proof of homeownership & residency in Miami-Dade County. Home must be owner occupied.
  • Your household income is under 80% of the area median income. See eligibility grid below.
  • You’re willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity staff and volunteers.
  • You are able to contribute $100 towards the cost, which can be paid in installments if needed. No extra payment is required.
  • You will stay in your home for at least 3 years after the project is completed.
  • You must be able to interact with volunteers on the day of the event.​

Household Income

This program availability may vary. The A Brush with Kindness program is not always offered in all areas and at all times. Currently, it is not open to Habitat for Humanity homeowners.
